Driving to Texarkana, stopped at DeQueen Arkansas to visit a good friend of mine. Stopped for a soda break and ended up staying the night with her and we had a great time catching up! This is going to become a habit!
Day 87 ~ 9/25/11
Drove out to the refuge to see some of the damage from the wildfires. It is horrible to see such devistation but awesome to see the power of nature. The Y'Shua camp was burned, but like the hand of God was on the lodge, the fire came down on either side of the mountain and then burned around all of the structures on the camp and missed the outdoor alter on the hillside as well.

Busy Day...Day full of food.
Morgan and I drove out to Medicine Park and had breakfast at Mrs. Chadwick's Bakery ~ FABULOUS muffins. The Blueberries were wonderful and the Cathead Sausage and Cheese with gravy was devine! We will be doing that more often!
Then the evening meal with Kait and Kaleb at the International Fest in Lawton... Morgan and Kaleb enjoyed the Gyros :) The sun was setting as we headed home, the sky was on fire... it was beautiful.

Saw this wonderful old boxcar in a field on the way to Texas. Loved the contrast of the Oklahoma red dirt and the blue sky... the weathered look of the old wood is great!

we all went out to CHS to watch the alma mater play in the new stadium. I must say that the venue is stellar... unfortunately the performance of the team a little less than stellar :)

This is what 3000 photo corners looks like. I am dreading the fact that these babies are NOT self adhesive...
they are a must for the heritage project I am starting on, but wow... will have to find a way to moisten these that does NOT involve licking them.

These innocent looking shoes go far beyond the reaches of stinky... these dawgs smelled like 3 day old roadkill during summer time in Oklahoma! This is where you are VERY thankful that this is NOT smell-o-vision. We contemplated putting these in the trash, however, a four hour soak in bleach water did the job. They live to stink another day.

All in all ~ not a fun way to end the day. Morgan's iPod was frozen in recovery mode....took me until almost 2 in the am to get it right and FINALLY able to restore.

ten years later. I did not take this photo. I still felt that today is a day of tribute, again. This time to the day in history that changed our country forever, re-shaped us as Americans.

Don't cry over spilt milk! Morgan was making some chocolate milk and spilled some as he was pouring his glass of milk. It make a VERY interesting splatter pattern. We were both so facinated! I had to post this splatter.... we did not touch it, this is exactly how the milk spattered when it hit the counter! Pretty Cool!

No great works today. Just a tribute to my grandmother ~ my Hanner Mommie. Today she left this earth, she was 89 years, 4 months and 19 days old. She went peacefully in her sleep, awakening in Glory today. You will be missed Hanner, but I know that you are being greeted by such wonderful sights. You are not ever to be confused again nor will your vision fail you and trick you any longer. I will rejoice and continue to prepare myself for the day we will be together again.

Holy Macro.... Morning Glories finally blooming in the back yard... it has been so dry that they have not flowered most of the summer. With the cooler temps and the small amount of rain we got this week...they are starting to bud out! Had to play with the color pop!

Bathhouse Row in Hot Springs Arkansas. I took a nice walk this evening along the Grand Promenade, then back down the front along the bath houses. Some beautiful scenery! Will be spending more time along this walk when here in the future!
